We were lucky that the cooler winter weather meant we could dine in comfort on the pretty rooftop terrace. Service was polite, attentive and friendly and I couldn’t fault the delicious meal we enjoyed, in particular a southern fish curry with accompanying relish, quite unlike anything I’ve tried before. I’ll be back!

Quite disappointing experience overall. No way this restaurant is at 1 star Michelin level, the inspector must have drinken something good to award that rating. Food is okish but not remotely worth the price tag of 3400 for the tasting menu. More like street food joint than a top rated restaurant. Service was kind but very basic, the plate description was mechanic and often hard to understand tbh. The most disappointing part of the experience is the atmosphere. The restaurant is on the 5th floor of a quite old building in desperate need of a renovation, the lobby entrance is a mess and the bathroom run down 2 floor under the restaurant and very dark. The small dining room is built around an open kitchen and feels crowded with the staff often standing closer than you wished to the table, the whole open kitchen is messy and confusing rather than engaging and entertaining. Bottom line this would have probably been a solid 3.5 stars if it was a lower priced family run neighbourhood restaurant with some decent street food option and a couple of very tasty highlights like grouper or the burnt coconut desserts among several others more forgettable ones, but as far as Michelin starred restaurants go it falls well short of expectations.

Extremely overpriced for cold food. Most of the food dishes were cold. As a US food reviewer for Yelp, I would not give this place a high ranking for the food. The food was decent but no where near Michelin level. Michelin should be reserved for the top tier. With Michelin restaurants all over the city, it looses its meaning. In the US, this would not be Michelin. It is 3,400 per person plus 2,900 if you want to do a wine pairing. The service as A+ The atmosphere was nice with an open kitchen B+ The food was a big letdown.

As I started writing the review, I still could experience the bad taste of the food. With all the delicious Thai food, how did they manage to make everything taste bad? We sent back everything. I was uncomfortable sending it back but after eating a bit I had a stomach ache. Then I was even extremely surprised when they gave us the check without any credit after they took back all their dishes. I thought they would have had pride in their food and would have wanted to show it in some way. I thought American Express could dispute it but the restaurant said we did not send back anything! This never happened to me after more than 20 years going to highly regarded restaurants.
