Malindi Mosque is a historic mosque in Stone Town, believed to have been built in the 15th century, making it one of the oldest on the island. Its most notable feature is the unique minaret, which is square in shape and unlike the typical round minarets found elsewhere. The mosque is constructed from coral stone and has a simple, elegant design. Non-Muslims can view the exterior and appreciate its architectural significance, but entry is restricted.
