Mehnatobod, whose name translates to 'labor city' in Tajik, is a settlement founded during the Soviet period to house workers for nearby collective farms and light industries. The village features orderly rows of houses, a school, and a small market. Visitors can see remnants of Soviet-era architecture, such as a community center or administrative building, and observe how the community's identity is still tied to its working-class roots. The surrounding fields and canals provide a backdrop of rural productivity.

Don't miss
