Liberty Square is a large, open public square in central Taipei, bordered by the National Theater and the National Concert Hall, two grand Chinese-style buildings. The square itself is paved and often hosts festivals, performances, and political rallies. At its center stands a tall archway, and the square offers a clear view of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall at the opposite end. Visitors can walk across the square, admire the architecture of the theater and concert hall, and sometimes catch free outdoor performances. The area is a hub for cultural activities and a popular meeting point.
