Taipei 101 is a landmark skyscraper that held the title of world's tallest building from 2004 to 2010. Visitors ride one of the world's fastest elevators to the 89th-floor indoor observatory, where floor-to-ceiling windows provide 360-degree views of Taipei and the surrounding mountains. The outdoor deck on the 91st floor offers an open-air perspective, weather permitting. The building's distinctive bamboo-like design incorporates traditional Asian motifs, and its tuned mass damper, a giant golden sphere, is visible from inside, stabilizing the tower against typhoons and earthquakes.
