The Camp of Diocletian was a fortified base for Roman legions, constructed in the late 3rd century AD. Visitors can see the remains of the principia (headquarters), a temple dedicated to the Roman standards, and barracks. The site offers a glimpse into Roman military life in the desert, with its strategic layout and defensive walls. It's less crowded than central Palmyra.
