Hammam Yalbugha is a 15th-century public bathhouse built during the Mamluk period, meticulously restored and reopened to visitors. Upon entering, guests are greeted by a grand entrance hall with a central fountain and intricate tilework. The hammam retains its original layout of hot, warm, and cold rooms, allowing visitors to experience the traditional bathing ritual. The warm stone interiors, high domed ceilings with star-shaped skylights, and the sound of running water create a serene atmosphere. It offers a unique opportunity to step into Aleppo's social history.

Don't miss

  • Relax in the warm marble-clad central hall, the main gathering area with a raised platform for lounging.
  • Observe the authentic steam rooms and hot chambers, still used for traditional hammam treatments.
  • Admire the decorative details: geometric tile patterns, carved stone arches, and the central fountain.
