The Palace of Nations (Palais des Nations) is the European headquarters of the United Nations, located in Geneva's Ariana Park. Built between 1929 and 1938 as the League of Nations headquarters, it now hosts thousands of diplomatic meetings each year. Guided tours take visitors through the grand Assembly Hall, Council Chambers, and the Human Rights and Alliance of Civilizations Room, adorned with a stunning ceiling by Spanish artist Miquel Barceló. The tour also includes the 46-acre park, home to peacocks and a monument to the victims of the atomic bomb.
