Perched on the shores of Lake Geneva, the Brunswick Monument is a striking neo-Gothic mausoleum that stands as a tribute to Charles II, Duke of Brunswick. Built in 1879, its design is directly inspired by the 14th-century Scaliger Tombs in Verona, Italy, complete with ornate spires, statues, and a canopy. The monument is made of white stone and features intricate carvings, including a life-sized effigy of the duke. Visitors can admire its architecture from the outside, as the interior is not open to the public. Set against the lake and the Jet d'Eau, it offers a picturesque spot for photography and reflection.
