The Puente de Piedra, or Stone Bridge, is one of Zaragoza's most iconic landmarks, spanning the Ebro River with its seven stone arches. Originally built in the 15th century, the bridge has been reconstructed several times due to floods and wars. Today, it serves as a pedestrian-friendly walkway connecting the city center with the northern districts. Visitors can stroll across the bridge, taking in panoramic views of the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, the riverbanks, and the city skyline. The bridge is particularly atmospheric at sunset when the golden light illuminates the stonework and the water below. Benches along the sides invite you to pause and watch the river flow, making it a favorite spot for both locals and tourists.
