The Aqueduct of Segovia is a monumental engineering marvel that has stood for nearly two millennia. Stretching over 800 meters through the heart of the city, its double-tiered arches rise to a height of 28.5 meters at its tallest point. Built without mortar, the granite blocks are held together by precise cutting and gravity. Visitors can walk along the base of the aqueduct, marveling at the sheer scale and craftsmanship. The structure once carried water from the Frío River to the city, a distance of 17 kilometers. Today, it is a symbol of Segovia and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The best views are from the Plaza del Azoguejo, where the aqueduct makes a dramatic entrance into the city. At night, the illuminated arches create a magical atmosphere, making it a must-see at any hour.
