Plaza de Toros de El Bibio is a striking neo-Mudéjar bullring that has been a cornerstone of Gijón's cultural life since the late 19th century. Located in the El Bibio neighborhood, its red brick facade and horseshoe arches evoke a distinctly Spanish architectural heritage. Today, the arena continues to host traditional bullfights during the summer season, as well as concerts and other large-scale events. Visitors can walk around the exterior to admire the detailed brickwork and the statue of the legendary bullfighter Manuel García 'El Bibio', for whom the plaza is named. While the interior is generally only open during events, the building itself stands as a proud symbol of Gijón's traditions.
