The Roman bridge of Córdoba is one of the city's most iconic landmarks, stretching across the Guadalquivir River with 16 arches. Originally constructed in the 1st century BC, it has been rebuilt and modified over centuries, blending Roman, Moorish, and Renaissance influences. Walking across the bridge offers stunning views of the river and the historic city center, with the Calahorra Tower at one end and the Puerta del Puente at the other. The bridge is pedestrian-only, making it a pleasant stroll, especially at sunset when the warm light illuminates the stone.

Don't miss

  • Walk across the entire bridge for panoramic river views
  • Photograph the arches reflecting in the water at dusk
  • See the Puerta del Puente, a Renaissance gateway at the north end
  • Spot the statue of St. Raphael, Córdoba's patron saint, on the bridge
