The Castle of Burgos, perched on a hill overlooking the city, is a medieval fortress with a rich history. Though mostly in ruins, the site offers some of the best panoramic views of Burgos and the surrounding countryside. Visitors can explore the remaining walls, towers, and the keep, and learn about the castle's role in the city's defense. The site also includes an interpretation center that explains the castle's history through models and displays. The walk up the hill is steep but rewarding, with benches and viewpoints along the way. It's a peaceful spot for a picnic or to watch the sunset over the cathedral spires.
