Jogyesa Temple is the main temple of the Jogye Order, the largest Buddhist sect in Korea. Founded in 1910, it serves as the spiritual center for Korean Buddhism. The temple grounds feature a towering 500-year-old white pine tree and a 100-year-old pagoda tree. Inside the main hall, visitors can see three large golden Buddha statues. During Buddha's Birthday, the temple is adorned with thousands of colorful lotus lanterns. The temple offers a serene retreat in the middle of the city.
