Mac-Mac Falls is a striking twin waterfall on the Mac-Mac River, dropping 56 meters into a deep, fern-lined gorge. A short, paved path leads to a viewing platform that offers close-up views of the cascades, especially impressive after rains. The surrounding indigenous forest is rich with birdlife and cycads, making it a serene stop along the Panorama Route. The falls are named after the many Scottish miners who flocked here during the 1870s gold rush.

Don't miss

  • View the twin cascades from the main platform, feeling the mist on your face.
  • Spot rare cycads and forest birds along the short nature trail.
  • Photograph the falls in the morning light when rainbows often appear.
