Bled Castle, Slovenia's oldest castle, dates back to the early 11th century and sits dramatically on a 130-meter-high cliff overlooking Lake Bled. The castle complex includes a museum tracing the region's history from prehistoric times to the present, a reconstructed medieval printing press, and a wine cellar where visitors can sample local vintages. The castle's ramparts and terraces offer some of the most breathtaking panoramic views of the lake, the island, and the surrounding Alps. Visitors can also explore the chapel, the blacksmith's workshop, and the herb garden, making it a rich cultural and historical experience.
