Apulum was the largest Roman urban center in Dacia, flourishing from the 2nd to 4th centuries AD. Today, visitors can explore the sprawling ruins of the civilian settlement (canabae) and the military fortifications. The site includes the remains of a large amphitheater that once seated thousands, as well as baths, temples, and residential quarters. The nearby Union Museum houses a rich collection of Roman artifacts, including sculptures, inscriptions, and everyday objects. Walking among the excavated foundations offers a vivid glimpse into Roman provincial life.
