The artificial caves of Casal do Pardo are a set of man-made burial chambers excavated into the limestone hillside during the Neolithic period, around 4000–3000 BC. These caves, consisting of multiple chambers and corridors, were used for collective interments and contain archaeological evidence of funerary practices. Visitors can explore the dark, cool interiors and observe the carved niches and passages, gaining insight into prehistoric rituals. The site is surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, adding to its mysterious and ancient atmosphere.
