Siklawica Falls is one of the most impressive waterfalls in the Polish Tatras, plunging 23 meters down a rocky cliff in a narrow ravine. The waterfall is located in the Strążyska Valley, a short and easy hike from the center of Zakopane. The trail winds through a forest of beech and fir trees, crossing small streams and passing under overhanging rocks. The sound of the falls grows louder as you approach, and the final viewpoint offers a misty spray on sunny days. Because the trail is well-maintained and relatively short, it is a popular choice for families and casual walkers. The valley itself is rich in plant life, with many rare species growing on the limestone substrate.

Don't miss

  • Stand at the base of the falls and feel the cool mist on a warm day.
  • Look for the rainbow that often appears in the spray when the sun is out.
  • Continue up the trail to the Polana Strążyska clearing for views of Giewont mountain.
