The Presidential Palace on Krakowskie Przedmieście is the grand seat of Poland's head of state. Its neoclassical façade, with a central portico and columns, dominates the street, while the equestrian statue of Prince Józef Poniatowski stands proudly in the forecourt. Visitors can admire the exterior architecture and the statue, and sometimes see ceremonial guards. Though the interior is not generally open to the public, the building's role in modern Polish history, hosting state visits and important events, adds to its significance.
