Holy Cross Church is a striking Baroque basilica located on Krakowskie Przedmieście in central Warsaw. Its most revered feature is an urn embedded in a pillar, containing the heart of composer Frédéric Chopin, brought here after his death in Paris. Visitors come to pay homage at this poignant shrine, admire the ornate interior with its frescoes and sculptures, and reflect on the church's role as a symbol of Polish heritage. The church survived World War II and was meticulously rebuilt, making it both a spiritual and historical landmark.
