Great tasting food. A definite must try are their Panizza and Risottos. The salmon was really good as well, served with mashed potatoes that has a creamy smooth texture. They are great when paired with wine
Great food, friendly staff decent price. my only problem was the quality of the creme brulee but not enough to take away from the experience
End up back here again after several years since the last visit in 2016. My return really was not by choice, other members picked the place to dine, and I did not find out until it was too late to change locations. Really little has changed, the service and food is still subpar and overpriced. Yes they have moved from the original hotel location to the new building but really no improvement. It is a much longer walk now to the parking because the whole complex is set up for the gambling, they really don't care about the food or the comfort of those dinning, just get the money. Lets's set the record straight here, they do not serve pizza, or anything like pizza, their Chef Chris roll ups are not pizza, and not good at all. Service is very slow, even in an empty restaurant. The soup was a very small amount and tasted like packaged freeze-dried soup. The lamb was not tender and overcooked. And why call it Amare by Chef Chris? He died long before the current location was ever built, even going back to his early restaurant C Italian, on Don Juico Ave, when he was cooking his food was not good and his customer service was even worse. If you want to overpay and get bad food with poor service, then come here, you will not be disappointed. Amare by Chef Chris should follow the lead of its namesake and RIP. It could be considered a public service.
My husband had made a reservation at Amare for Valentine’s yesterday. We had high hopes for it because we read good reviews. Truly, the place looked classy and the food was good. While negative reviews about their service were rare when I read about them, the Valentine’s Day experience proved to be an exception. I think the kitchen and the staff were overwhelmed with the occasion. This resulted in the oversight of our Angus Ribeye Steak, which was intended to be the centerpiece of our meal alongside 2 orders of Pumpkin Soup, Spinach Ravioli, and an Amare Classic Rollizza. Upon our arrival, we were escorted to our table, and the server assured us that our pre-ordered items (placed through Facebook messenger) would be attended to. The Ravioli and the soup promptly made their way to our table, but nearly an hour later, no additional dishes had arrived. Subsequent inquiries were made, initially directed to the manager (yielding no resolution and an annoyed expression), and then to server Jane, who exhibited sincere apologies and remarkable courtesy. While they assured us that the Rollizza was on its way, our steak had regrettably not been ordered. Acknowledging the lapse, the Chef and some of the staff issued apologies, and as a gesture of goodwill, a complimentary dessert was offered along with a modest 5% discount. Though appreciative, the discount seemed insufficient given the impact on our dining experience. Despite our disappointment, my husband and I refrained from being demanding customers. We conveyed our dissatisfaction without creating undue stress. Nevertheless, our disappointment was genuine. Despite this hiccup, we are open to giving Amare another chance, driven primarily by the positive reputation of their cuisine. We still have the desire to experience their Steak. As a constructive suggestion to Amare, I recommend avoiding overbooking during special occasions, as it appears that their kitchen may not be equipped to handle such high volumes effectively. P.S. A special acknowledgment to server Jane! Her kindness and assistance were noteworthy 😊
