Visit on: 13 Dec 2024 Such grateful to enjoy this fantastic omakase. First time taste sea snail, it is crispy after cook. My favourite ikura, it tastes so fresh, and it is dancing in my mouth when chewing, unforgettable. Other dishes are delicious ❤️❤️❤️ Overall, from greeting to table service is 5/5.

The food was good and fresh, but the service is not omakase standard. they rushed through the next dishes, new food was on the table before we were even finished. The waitresses were really cold, we can feel they hate their job and just want to get the job done. the plates were cleared when one person finished, but not the other. :( We had a private room, but the room next door was very noisy. You can't see the chef preparing your food, not the standard omakase ambience. 8500p/p

What constitutes a fine dining or luxury experience? Should it be the same for all cuisines? Does the cost significantly contribute to the perception of luxury, or is it the unique, magical experience that makes it worthwhile? These questions were on my mind after experiencing an 8-course tasting menu at a restaurant named the best by Tattler Philippines. While my wife and I appreciated being accommodated as walk-ins without reservations, the overall experience fell short of our expectations. Atmosphere and Ambiance We were seated in a private dining room that lacked elegance, resembling more of a massage room than a fine dining space. The ambiance did not set the stage for what we hoped would be an extraordinary culinary experience. Food Quality and Presentation 1. Simplicity and Basic Preparation: The dishes were prepared too simply and lacked the complexity one might expect from a top-rated restaurant. The flavors were familiar, reminiscent of better Japanese restaurants we’ve dined at before. The highlight of the meal, surprisingly, was the miso soup, which speaks volumes about the overall quality. 2. Wagyu Beef: We were served wagyu beef that was predominantly fat. While the tenderness and flavor were there, the overwhelming fat content made it difficult to enjoy without feeling guilty about the cholesterol intake. 3. Sashimi and Melon: The sashimi was ordinary, no different from what you might find in a good Japanese restaurant. Additionally, we were served plain Japanese melon, sliced into bite-sized pieces without any special preparation, which added nothing significant to the dining experience. Service 1. Simultaneous Serving: There seemed to be a lack of coordination in serving the dishes. Ideally, all diners at the table should be served simultaneously to enhance the shared dining experience. 2. Dish Explanation: The wait staff did not explain what made each dish special or why it was included in the menu. This lack of context left us wondering about the unique aspects of the meal. Overall Experience Despite the initial positive gesture of accommodating us without reservations, the experience was disappointing. The simplicity of the dishes, lack of standout flavors, and uninspired service did not justify the high cost. While we understand that certain luxury ingredients come at a premium, the overall execution failed to deliver a memorable or magical dining experience. Conclusion Reflecting on our dining experience, we were left questioning why we chose this restaurant. While we appreciate the effort to accommodate us as walk-ins, the meal did not meet our expectations for a top-rated restaurant. Moving forward, we will be more discerning in our dining choices to avoid similar disappointments.

I convinced my family to try this Kaiseki restaurant that has a high review, unfortunately we were dissapointed the fish that was served was not de boned. We also need to pay 50% half deposit for us to be able to get reservation which is understandable.
