I got really lucky and had the opportunity to eat here as a walk in. There is no tasting menu but you can also order half of 4~5 dishes which is what I did + desert (I was just before unpleasantly full by the end). The food was really good - I loved the overall balance of each dish. Additionally, I really enjoy learning about food and I asked the servers a few questions and they were very nice. Personal favorite would be the fish curry.
A very nice fine dining place in Lima. I went with my friend and two of us ordered 5 dishes with drinks. Each dish was delicious with fresh ingredients and beautiful decoration. I would like to go back again!!
Great tasty innovative food. One of the top 5 meals of our lives. Food was not only visually amazing but tasty as well. The flan is amazing. Make your reservations early - it is a small restaurant. Service is amazing - one of the servers noticed we were hesitating on the sidewalk after dinner - our Uber had pulled up across the street - he came out and stopped traffic for us and escorted us over to the Uber - amazing.
My husband and I visited Merito for a lunch date. It was the last of the top 50 restaurants in the world located in Lima we were yet to try and expectations were high. The restaurant is located in a traditional shop in Barranco, just around the corner from Central and Kjolle. The entrance is through the open kitchen and then you get promptly taken to the table upstairs. There are two rooms with 6 tables each (quite close to each other). The style is smart casual and the crowd is very trendy. We opted for a selection of dishes which we shared, accompanied by wine (there is no matching, you pick wine by glass or go for a bottle). We thought that Scallops, sanki and jalapeños & white fish with cocoa fruit were good, octopus, fish curry and arepas were fantastic and so was flan (one of the best I’ve ever had). Coconut dessert was average and so was the wine selection by glass. Overall we had a nice afternoon, ate well and thought it was value for money (£170 for two, including 3 glasses of wine each & teas and coffees)
