Kjolle

I haven't done many tasting menus, but this was a unique and delicious experience that goes beyond the immediate food and drink you eat. Loved seeing some of the featured local ingredients presented in raw form with each dish to gain a bit more exposure to what goes into crafting such fine food rooted in local sources and flavors. Great drink pairing too (I did the version with alcohol to try some wines) with a few surprising and fun choices. Expensive, but a memorable experience with excellent attention and explanation by each wait staff who stopped by the table. Loved the invitation to the lab across the hall too after I finished my meal.

We had just landed in Lima a few hours before heading out to this restaurant. Even though we were tired from being in the air for 26 hours (yes, we’re a LOOONG way from home) we were able to enjoy every dish on the 9-course Kjolle Moment tasting menu. We were blown away by the taste and texture of each dish - unique and certainly tastes we’ve never experienced before! The servers were pros and explained each dish and the locally-sourced produce and ingredients clearly. Even today I’m still thinking of the delightful bursts of flavors from last night. The cosy feel of this restaurant is a plus. It’s not big, which we like. We can recommend!

After weeks of deliberation my husband and I chose Kjolle for our high-end dinner in Lima, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. Not only was it one of the most creative and delicious dinners we've ever had, it was one of the coolest experiences that I will never forget. From the music to the table settings to the descriptions from the servers it's evident that every last detail is carefully considered at Kjolle to create an experience that's almost magical. It is so unique to Peru and we learned a ton about what makes this beautiful country such a special place in the culinary world. Every course we had was absolutely delicious, and there were many ingredients and preparations we had never tried before. From the fresh bread & butter to scallops to lobster to cacao served three ways, every dish was outstanding. I had a refreshing pisco/kombucha/blood orange cocktail and an excellent Carmenere, and there is a great selection of nonalcoholic beverages as well. I specified that I don't eat pork when I made our reservation, and when we arrived our server asked if beef or duck would be okay. The beef was the best I've ever had, and I really appreciated this consideration. Kjolle is a splurge that's worth every penny!

Wow. Everything was excellent. We were left almost speechless. This was one of the best culinary experiences we’ve ever had. As soon as we arrived, we got a tour of the facility and learned about the Mater Initiative, the diverse ingredients in their dishes, and the restaurant's overall concept. We were treated like royalty once we stepped into the restaurant. We went for the tasting menu with wine pairing, and the service was exceptional. The staff was so attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, providing detailed explanations for each dish. Every plate was creative, beautifully presented, and delicious. The drink pairings were *chef's kiss* perfect. Amazing five-star experience. We would definitely recommend Kjolle!
