We over-ordered but it was worth it because the menu looked so good - and we ordered the small versions of dishes too. The dishes were hearty, tangy and cozy - big portions, great value. The ambiance of the restaurant was laid back with a warm atmosphere. Our server was super nice, a little friendly-cheeky - loved it. A must visit!
The ambience is homey and casual . I have added the menu in English for your convenience . The restaurant has Great local vibes. Our host Rosa was very helpful and warm . She helped us with the portion size and the food options. Great food and taste . We had few traditional dishes and I have added the photos with names . Please check them to know the names.
Went there for dinner on a Sunday evening. Short wait and overall quick service. Got apps and dinner no drinks. The apps were solid. Had the civiche and it was awesome. Great flavors and the fried octopus in it was incredible. Dinners are huge and meant to be family style. We were not really warned of this and ordered 3 meals for a family of 5 after 3 apps thinking we would go light. The food could have easily fed 10 for dinner. We barely ate half. Had the osobucco special. Taste was bland and meat was some of the toughest osobucco I’ve had. Also had the fried rice dish which was really good. Highly recommend this one. Also had the shredded chicken stew which was so so. Flavor was good but a lot of gravy on it. I feel that overall the restaurant is a bit overrated for all of the hype and recommendations.
Cozy atmosphere, delicious food, amazing drinks and friendly staff. Isolina located in Barranco district, Lima's historic district, is one of my favorite restaurants in Lima. Its Menu is full of traditional and delicious dishes. Carapulcra w/ Sopa Seca is very recommended.
