Qasr al-Yahud, located on the West Bank side of the Jordan River near Jericho, is revered as the site where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. This holy place draws thousands of pilgrims annually who come to renew their faith and participate in baptismal ceremonies in the river. The site features several churches and monasteries, as well as steps leading down to the water where visitors can touch the river.
