Paid a visit to Koel today on August 14th. Parmesan-crusted chicken turned out to be a great choice. The chicken was crispy, fresh, and topped with authentic Parmesan, served alongside a delightful cheesy sauce, vegetables, and mashed potatoes. You can also add an extra chicken fillet for an additional 450rs. The Koel special club sandwich, served with french fries, was very tasty. However, the Margherita Pizza fell short of expectations and could use some improvement. For drinks, we tried the cold cappuccino, which is perfect if you enjoy the bitterness of coffee (9/10), the Hazelnut Frappe, which had a slight vanilla-like taste and was pleasantly sweet (9/10), and the peach iced tea (7.5/10). As for the ambiance, it was a truly enjoyable experience, thanks to the lush greenery and the calm atmosphere, complemented by the soothing sounds of birds chirping. Prices are reasonable compared to other cafes in Karachi, making this spot even more appealing. Must visit at least once.
An early family dinner at Koel. The place has a nice ambience and very tasteful decor. Food was good and service was efficient. Loved the wasabi prawns and the lava cake.
Surrounding by trees and small garden, the restaurant serves dishes which includes healthful salads, smoothies, main courses like chicken, seafood, beef and sandwiches. In addition, you can buy local clothes, napkins, carpets and small local furniture items in the shop plus attractive art gallery.
Worst iftar/dinner experience. complimentary iftari items ran out after the first group of guests had taken their portions and nothing got replenished. as such our group of 8 was able to satisfy our hunger after 13 hours of going without food. in spite of iftar, drinking water/glasses was not provided at the table to allow us who had not had water for more than 13 hours. even the complimentary drink got served after 15 minutes. it seemed like the staff got overwhelmed and were unable to cope to our detriment. Go elsewhere please or even stay at home and do your roza a favour to avoid getting left thirsty and famished.
