Tyssedal is a small village located just north of Odda, nestled along the Sørfjorden. It is renowned for its historic industrial architecture, particularly the Tyssedal Hydroelectric Power Station, a striking Art Nouveau building from 1906 that now houses the Norwegian Museum of Hydroelectricity and Industry. The village is also the primary access point for the Trolltunga hiking trail, one of Norway's most iconic hikes, which starts from the nearby Skjeggedal parking area.
