Store Trolltinden is a striking pyramid-shaped peak in the Romsdal Alps, rising to 1,788 meters. Its symmetrical form makes it a favorite subject for photographers. The hike to the summit is a strenuous but non-technical route, taking about 6–8 hours round trip, with steep ascents and rocky terrain. At the top, hikers are rewarded with expansive views of the Troll Wall, Romsdalshornet, and the fjord. The mountain is less crowded than nearby peaks, offering a more solitary alpine experience.

Don't miss

  • Hike to the summit for a less-crowded view of the Troll Wall and Romsdalshornet.
  • Photograph the mountain's pyramid shape from the valley.
