The World of Wearable Art (WOW) museum is a unique attraction born from Nelson's iconic wearable art competition. The main gallery showcases a rotating selection of past winners and finalists, sculptural, often fantastical garments made from materials like metal, plastic, and natural fibres. An adjacent hall houses a collection of over 140 classic and vintage cars, from American muscle to European elegance, creating an unexpected juxtaposition of art and automotive history.

Don't miss

  • Marvel at the intricate, otherworldly garments from the WOW competition
  • Admire the gleaming chrome of a 1950s Cadillac and a 1930s Rolls-Royce
  • See the 'Trash to Fashion' exhibit featuring garments made from recycled materials
