Jorsale is a tiny settlement nestled along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River, deep within the pine and rhododendron forests of the Khumbu region. It is a common lunch stop for trekkers on the Everest Base Camp trail, offering simple teahouses with hearty meals and a chance to rest. The village is known for its peaceful ambiance, with the sound of the river and views of the surrounding hills. Trekkers often refill water bottles at the stream and enjoy the cool shade before continuing their journey.

Don't miss

  • Enjoy a traditional dal bhat or noodle soup at one of the riverside teahouses
  • Listen to the rushing Dudh Koshi River while resting on the riverbank
  • Spot prayer flags and mani stones along the trail through the village
