Central Zoo, located in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, is the only zoo in Nepal and a beloved attraction for families and nature enthusiasts. Spread over six hectares, it houses a variety of animals including Bengal tigers, leopards, rhinoceroses, bears, monkeys, and numerous bird species. The zoo also has a reptile house and a pond with waterfowl. Visitors can stroll along shaded pathways, observe animals in enclosures, and enjoy a peaceful environment. It serves as both a recreational space and a center for conservation education, making it a worthwhile stop for understanding Nepal's wildlife.
