Maha Wizaya Pagoda is a contemporary Buddhist stupa built in the 1980s, situated on Singuttara Hill adjacent to the revered Shwedagon Pagoda. Its golden spire and pristine white base create a striking silhouette against the sky. Inside, the circular ambulatory features murals depicting the Buddha's life, while the central relic chamber houses a sacred Buddha image. Visitors often come for the tranquil atmosphere and sweeping views of Yangon from the hilltop, making it a perfect complement to a visit to Shwedagon.
