Todgha Gorge is a spectacular limestone canyon carved by the Todgha River, located about 15 kilometers east of Tinghir. The gorge's sheer walls rise up to 300 meters high, narrowing to a width of just 10 meters in places. Visitors come to hike along the river, marvel at the dramatic rock formations, and climb the challenging routes that attract climbers from around the world. The cool, shaded corridor offers a refreshing escape from the desert heat, with small cafes and shops nestled at the entrance. The experience is both awe-inspiring and serene, with the sound of water echoing off the cliffs.

Don't miss

  • Hike through the narrowest sections of the canyon, where cliffs tower overhead
  • Watch rock climbers scaling the vertical limestone walls
  • Explore the riverbed and spot traditional Berber irrigation channels
