Tinghir is a town in southeastern Morocco, nestled in the Dades Valley and surrounded by lush palm groves. It serves as the gateway to the Todgha Gorge, but itself boasts a rich heritage of ancient kasbahs and traditional Berber culture. Visitors can wander through the old medina, explore the ruins of the Glaoui Kasbah, and stroll among the thousands of date palms in the oasis. The town's location at the edge of the High Atlas Mountains provides stunning views, and its relaxed atmosphere offers a contrast to the more touristy cities. Tinghir is also a starting point for excursions into the surrounding desert and mountains.

Don't miss
