The Sokehs Mass Grave Site commemorates the tragic aftermath of the Sokehs Rebellion (1910–1911), when local islanders rose up against forced labor and German authority. After the rebellion was crushed, 15 leaders were executed and buried here in a common grave. Today, a simple stone monument and plaque stand at the site, surrounded by trees. It is a place of remembrance for Pohnpeians, symbolizing resistance and sacrifice. Visitors can pay respects and learn about this pivotal event in Micronesian history.
