Originally built by the Normans, it became the stronghold of the Knights of St. John and withstood the Ottoman onslaught during the Great Siege of 1565. Today, visitors can explore its towering walls, underground chambers, and the restored chapel. The fort offers immersive exhibits on its history, including the role of the Knights and its use as a British naval base. From the upper bastions, one can enjoy sweeping views of the Three Cities and Valletta.
