The Barrakka Lift is a convenient and scenic elevator that connects the Grand Harbour waterfront to the Upper Barrakka Gardens, saving visitors a steep climb up the bastion stairs. Opened in 2012, the lift is enclosed in glass, providing panoramic views of the harbour during the short ride. It is particularly useful for those with mobility issues or anyone wanting to quickly move between the lower and upper parts of Valletta.
