The Rotunda of Mosta, officially the Church of the Assumption of Our Lady, is a stunning parish church renowned for its enormous unsupported dome, one of the largest in the world. Built in the 19th century, the church's neoclassical design impresses visitors. Its most famous story is from World War II: a German bomb pierced the dome during Mass but failed to explode, a miracle still celebrated. Visitors can see the bomb replica and admire the vast interior, which can hold thousands of worshippers.
