Domvs Romana, meaning 'Roman House,' is an archaeological site in Rabat that preserves the remains of a wealthy Roman townhouse. Discovered in 1881, the museum is built over the original structure, allowing visitors to view the remarkably intact mosaic floors in situ. The central peristyle courtyard features a colonnade and a fountain, while display cases hold pottery, glassware, and coins from the Roman period. The highlight is the 'Achilles Mosaic,' a colorful depiction of the hero's life, which spans the main reception room.
