Malé Friday Mosque, also known as Hukuru Miskiy, is a masterpiece of traditional Maldivian craftsmanship. Built in 1658 using coral stone, its walls are adorned with elaborate carvings and Quranic inscriptions. The mosque's interior features intricate lacquer work and a beautifully carved wooden mimbar. As one of the oldest mosques in the Maldives, it offers a glimpse into the country's pre-modern Islamic heritage. The surrounding cemetery contains tombs of sultans and national heroes, adding historical depth.
