Hulhumalé is a man-made island constructed through land reclamation to alleviate overcrowding in Malé. Located northeast of the capital, it features a planned urban design with residential blocks, parks, and a long artificial beach popular for swimming and sunset strolls. The island also hosts the Hulhumalé Central Park, a mosque, and various shops and eateries. Its calm atmosphere contrasts with bustling Malé, offering a more relaxed environment. Visitors can explore the beach, cycle along the promenade, or sample local street food.
