Had the most amazing time at the Metropole restaurant. Service was super fast and the waiters were really polite. There were complimentary snacks to munch on. The steak was well done and tasted good. The fries portion was a lot too. The accompanying sauce was delightful. I should have chosen a different wine though. Didn’t exactly like the recommended choice.
Nice place in Beirut Down Town. Their drinks and desserts are good. Recommended to order the Sphère Chocolat Surprise and the pain perdu. Fair prices. Music and atmosphere is nice as well.
I ordered the market salad i started by eating by the second bite there was a cockroach in the salad plus they didn’t know how to handle the situation the waiter name is bilal l hajj he was serving us it was a very bad experience I would never repeat it on top of all of that the cockroach was still alive
I had a Roquefort salad. It was very basic consisting of loads of lettuce and Roquefort sauce. My friend had a Metropole salad which was supposed to have asparagus. It consisted also of a lot of lettuce and only one asparagus that she had to dig out. My main was "mussels and fries". It was OK, not that special. And very low in quantity of mussels. My friend's was grilled chicken. It was tasty. The chicken was ridiculously thin. The apple tart had a bitter taste, most likely due to the vanilla. The atmosphere and service were nice. It was shockingly expensive considering the quality and the quantity of the food.
