The Venta Rapid, or Ventas Rumba, is a natural wonder in Kuldīga, Latvia, recognized as the widest waterfall in Europe with a span of 249 meters. Unlike towering falls, this is a broad, shallow cascade on the Venta River, creating a unique spectacle in spring when fish like salmon and trout leap up the rapids to spawn. Visitors can view this phenomenon from the banks or a nearby bridge, especially in April and May. The surrounding park offers walking paths and picnic spots, making it a popular outdoor destination for families and nature enthusiasts.
