Kuldīga Castle is a medieval fortress ruin situated in the heart of Kuldīga, Latvia, originally built by the Teutonic Order in the 13th century. Although now largely in ruins, the remaining stone walls and foundations evoke the castle's former strategic importance along the Venta River. Visitors can explore the site freely, walking among the remnants of towers and halls. Information boards provide historical context about the castle's role in the Livonian Order and its later decline. The castle grounds are a quiet spot for reflection, with views over the river and nearby park.
