Sushi Kuwano is an absolute gem! Tatsuya Kuwano is not only a stellar chef but also an amazing host. The intimate, 8-seat setup provides a personal and memorable dining experience, and Chef Kuwano’s friendly nature and excellent English make it welcoming for foreigners. The sushi itself is exceptional—prepared in the traditional edomae style with great attention to detail and the freshest ingredients. Each piece is crafted with precision, and you can feel the care that goes into every bite. The atmosphere is quaint and beautifully arranged, adding to the overall charm of the restaurant. My wife an I had an AMAZING dinner at Sushi Kuwano, perhaps even the best throughout out visit to Tokyo. Not only was the food outstanding, but the chef was tremendous and super-personable. If you are looking for a unique & memorable sushi experience, this is the absolute best you can do.
Sushi Kuwano was an excellent experience from start to finish. Chef Tatsuya-san is a master of his craft, we were mesmerized by his precise knife cuts and efficient plating techniques. All dishes from the introductory bites to the sushi were expertly prepared and equally delicious. Tatsuya-san was a joy to be around. He shared detailed information about all the ingredients and fish in the same warm, friendly manner we experienced throughout our trip to Tokyo. Highly recommended.
