Rising 100 meters above Sendai, the Sendai Daikannon is one of the tallest statues of the goddess Kannon in the world. Visitors enter through the base and ascend via elevator to an observation deck inside the statue's chest, offering sweeping views of the city and surrounding mountains. The interior also houses religious artifacts and a small museum. The sheer scale and serene expression of the statue make it a striking landmark.
