Odori Park is Sapporo's central green oasis, stretching over 1.5 kilometers from east to west. This broad, tree-lined boulevard is divided into 13 blocks and serves as the city's main event space. In winter, it becomes the heart of the Sapporo Snow Festival, featuring enormous snow and ice sculptures. Spring brings the Lilac Festival, while summer sees beer gardens and autumn leaves. Year-round, locals and visitors stroll, relax on benches, and enjoy fountains and flowerbeds.
Don't miss
- See the massive snow sculptures during the Sapporo Snow Festival in February.
- Experience the Lilac Festival in May when the park is fragrant with blooming lilacs.
- Walk the full 1.5 km length to enjoy the fountains, sculptures, and seasonal flowers.
